ONE PLAYER ONE HELMET Every season, football programs are forced into the difficult process of allocating helmets to players. Due to budget constraints, programs are usually unable to provide new helmets to players, and rely on the reconditioning of existing helmets. During reconditioning, helmets are taken apart and reassembled. Traditional helmets contain multiple pads, which may offer minimal information on age, history or quality, and may be reassembled in a random fashion every season. In contrast, the interior components of the Xenith® X1™ stay together during reconditioning, are identified by serial number, and offer significant information on age, history and quality. Xenith has developed a program that ends the practice of players wearing used helmets with mixed components. This program provides families a choice in protecting their child, and alleviates the financial and helmet allocation burden on football programs.
