'The Come Up Presented by Xenith' Season 2 Teams Announced

'The Come Up Presented by Xenith' Season 2 Teams Announcement

Season one of The Come Up was a viral success, with over 2 million views and 50 million impressions across the web. Seeking to profile athletes and communities in detail both on and off the field to showcase the athlete’s journey in playing, training, and living, The Come Up authentically highlighted the fabric of high school football across America.

Which is why we’re doing a 2nd season. The nominations have been combed through over and over again, and we’ve finally selected the next five teams which will be profiled in season two.

So without further ado, we would like to introduce The Come Up Season Two teams.

Cass Technical High School, Detroit Michigan

Despite being a top 10 team in the state of Michigan year after year, the Technicians have to approach every season with a scrappy, “whatever it takes” mentality. Since 2010, Cass Tech has won 11 or more games every season, including two Division One State Championships. In addition to being a force to reckon with on the field, the players of Cass Tech understand the importance of giving back to the community that supports them.

Martin Luther King Jr. High School, Detroit Michigan

If you've seen season one of The Come Up, you already know this name. The 2018 Michigan Division Three State Champs, and the first team to ever be featured on The Come Up are back for season two.

How does a four-time State Championship team uphold the high level of excellence year after year? How do players deal with pressure from the community and uphold the legacy of the Crusaders? Stay tuned to find out more.

IMG Academy, Bradenton Florida

If you know anything about high school football, you’ll recognize this name. As one of the nation’s top high school powerhouses with athletes from across the country – IMG focuses on maximizing athlete performance on the field and building leaders off the field. Their emphasis is on continuing the athlete’s journey, which they’ve been highly successful at. See how the Ascenders approach every aspect of their pursuit with intention and attention to detail to elevate their play.

Battlefield High School, Haymarket Virginia

With a new head coach looking to cement his team’s culture and turn the corner on a string of relative success, Battlefield high school is looking to start strong with a fresh season. With strong community support, the Bobcats’ goals will be no easy feat, as they compete in one of the toughest leagues in Virginia.

Grant Union High School, Sacramento California

The Pacers of Grant High School have historically been a powerhouse in the Northern California region. As of late though, the Pacers football team have fallen on tougher times. Despite these obstacles, the Pacers are not discouraged. With dedication and a steadfast support from their community, the Pacers look to reclaim the glory days of their past and make their way back to the California State Championship.

Stay tuned to follow these team journeys starting in September 2019.
