August 10th, 2017 (Racine, Wisconsin) – Xenith, a Detroit industry leading helmet manufacturer is pleased to partner with Helmets to Heal (H2H) in a joint mission to provide underfunded football programs with the industry leading protective equipment. Since 2016, H2H has donated $25,000 worth of Xenith football helmets to teams in need and aims to provide $100,000 in equipment over the next three years.
Helmets to Heal is a non-profit organization based out of Racine, Wisconsin, dedicated to concussion prevention through awareness, better helmet technology, and proper concussion safety protocol. Informing not only coaches, but also parents and players, H2H hopes to spread awareness about properly fitting and maintaining helmets, identifying and diagnosing concussions, and tracking concussion data to improve future processes.
“In doing research into multiple brands of helmets, I found that Xenith was the only helmet that could decelerate the head and it was a comfortable fit every time.” Executive Director of Helmets to Heal Kyle Oppenheimer explained, ”We are excited to work with Xenith to help a number of football programs advance the future of a safer game.”
In 2016, H2H raised enough money to donate 78 Xenith Epic helmets to three Racine, Wisconsin public high schools. Already in 2017, H2H has donated an additional 24 helmets, increasing the total value in equipment to $25,000 provided by Xenith. H2H has plans for expansion into additional football leagues in Kenosha, Milwaukee, and Waukesha. With the help of Xenith, H2H will be able to expand their mission of providing top rated helmets for athletes for years to come.
